This session will explore the issues related to domestic violence and substance abuse. Panelists will discuss how substance abuse is a complex factor in domestic violence cases. They will discuss the co-morbidity of the issues by highlighting how the two separate issues intersect and the need of intervention and services. The perspective of both the batterer/perpetrator as well as the victim/survivor will be explored.

Cost: Program is free. $15 optional social work continuing education credit fee payable upon check-in (includes training materials and 1.5 approved social work continuing education clock hours)

CECHs: Grand Valley State University School of Social Work is an approved provider with the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative – Provider MI CEC-0004. This program is 1.5 hours.

No Registration required for program. For continuing education credits, register at check-in between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon.
